reasons to be cheerful

Januaree… its easy to feel like a lonely abandoned (& broke) ex-christmas tree
But lets not. Lots of things to do and look forward to – climate change opera, Wangari Maathai at the RSA, home-made fabricators are go and did we mention the optimistic scientists? Hundreds of them (well, 160) all clustered at the Edge talking up 2007 and giving reasons for getting out of bed in the morning.
Meantime zero carbon is so hot right now

Another reason for recycling Christmas trees – they’re a hazard to public health. Cycling along this morning, mindin my own, I was hit by a freak gust of wind and looked up to see a discarded Christmas tree flying across the road towards me. Any closer and I would have been a goner!
